First I must tell my readers, I am a PK ( Preacher’s Kid) and proud of that fact. Now, I must ask the question who is responsible for this possibly gross lapse in judgement? I am not aware any of my family were in attendance, but the church family and the faith community at-large require wise judgement from leadership.

Now many want to know what type of pressing business Kansas East Jurisdiction’s 2020 Ministers and Workers Conference at the Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ has on its roster that is worth jeopardizing the health of the membership. This coronavirus contagion has been in the news for more than 45 days.

As we can see, Trump started out playing down this national emergency as a political hoax, but since that time some of his political allies, including pastors, and other professionals have died from this pandemic.

Church conference in Kansas City, Kansas, linked to 44 COVID-19 cases, five deaths .

Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ at 2106 Quindaro Boulevard hosted the Kansas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction’s Ministers and Workers Conference from March 16-22.
The Wyandotte County Health Department believes 150 to 200 people attended the event.
KDHE announced March 31 that multiple people at the gathering may have been exposed to the virus. At that time, at least seven cases were said to be connected to the church gathering.
By April 8, that number had climbed to 15.
Kansas East Jurisdiction, the organizers of the conference, has said in previous statements that it notified attendees after it learned of two positive COVID-19 cases.
The state health department said Thursday that 19 of the church cases involve hospitalizations.
Wyandotte County has been hit particularly hard by COVID-19. As of Thursday, 379 cases including 34 deaths have been reported there.
More than two-thirds of the people dying from the virus in the county are black, according to newly released data by county health officials. The county launched an equity task force this week to address the disparities.
